Askar Bissembin is a Kazakhstani director, screenwriter, producer, and actor, born on May 10, 1979, in Almaty. He graduated from the Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov in 2002, specializing in psychiatry and addiction studies. However, during his studies, he developed a passion for KVN (a Russian humor competition) and subsequently transitioned into the film industry. Bisembin began his KVN journey in 1997, participating in interregional leagues. He contributed to the scripts of popular Russian TV series such as "Daddy's Daughters" and "Happy Together." He is also the founder and head of Skinny Man Production studio.

His filmography includes directing and writing for films like "Wedding for Three" (2015), "Adele" (2015), "Married at 30" (2016), and "More Than Cinema" (2017). Additionally, he directed and produced the film "Wife Is Not a Wall" (2018). Askar Bisembin is married to Bayan Yerimbet, a graduate of the New York Film Academy with a master's degree in film and television production. The couple has two children.
