Ronald W. Moore was a student at the University of Texas in Austin. In 1977 Moore met actor Edwin Neal, who was the curator of the Humanities and Research Library at the University of Texas. In 1985 Ronald not only co-wrote and directed, but also served as an associate producer on the low-budget sci-fi film "Future-Kill" which featured Neal in the lead role as a vicious psycho mutant named Splatter (Neal also co-wrote the script and co-produced this movie). Ronald and Edwin planned to make a follow-up picture called "Biogenesis," but this project fell apart after producer Kostas Spanos was murdered. Moore also worked on the crew for such films as "Mongrel" and "Nadine." He now runs Cinema Icons, which is a Cedar Park, Texas-based company that specializes in buying and selling rare film memorabilia.
