The Russian Empire. The turn of the XIX and XX centuries. Thirteen-year-old nobleman and orphan Vanya Ogarev flees from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod, fleeing from assassins sent by his own uncle, who decided to take over the boy's inheritance. For his protection, Vanya hires a random fist fighter, Volchok, who turned up to him. The spinning top must help Vanya get safely to Nizhny Novgorod — his father's faithful friend is waiting for him there.
