Weaving together multiple true stories into a fictional tale, the film revolves around a 13-year-old boy who helps run his family's convenience store in a town overshadowed by the presence of both Italian soldiers and partisans. He experiences his first crush, however, a fateful night shatters his innocence, propelling him into a world of profound choices between seeking revenge and embracing forgiveness.
