Mr. Digit explains the shift to all-number calling in this 1961 film starring Peg Lynch and Alan Bunce ("Ethel and Albert"). Returning from vacation, the couple learns their old number, "Bubbling Brook 3-2468," is changing to seven digits. Animated tutor Mr. Digit, created by ex-Disney animator Chuck Couch, shows Ethel the new system, why numbers are running out, and future communication services.
