Ranjyot, Amar and their widowed mother flee from Rampur after their friend, Karim, informs them that their village is about to be attacked by Muslim shortly after the 1948 partition of India and Pakistan. The threesome manage to survive and end up in Dharampur in Punjab. They are re-united with Karim when both brothers get married to Jeeto and Satwant.
