The couple Antonia, or Toni, and the former star chef Rufus run the country inn "Kupferkanne" together. They keep getting into arguments about it. When Toni's mother wins a wellness vacation for two to the Baltic Sea in a competition, Toni decides to go along. Rufus is delighted, as it means he can finally work in peace on turning the "Kupferkanne" into a Michelin-starred restaurant. While on vacation, mother Heidi falls in love with Ivo, a former acquaintance of Rufus from his star chef days. She wants to start a new life with him and, to Toni's horror, is prepared to put her share of the "Kupferkanne" on the line.
