The story tells of the experiences of a journalist who has been slandered. Abdullah works as the editor-in-chief at his father-in-law's newspaper. In his latest articles, he exposes the illegal activities of several companies. As a result, many companies file lawsuits against the newspaper. They withdraw their advertisements from the newspaper. Enraged by this situation, Hayri Bey fires his son-in-law Abdullah. He appoints Abdullah's closest friend Yusuf as editor-in-chief. That same evening, Hayri Bey is murdered. The police suspect Abdullah, whose relationship with his father-in-law was strained, and arrest him. Yusuf, who believes Abdullah is innocent, will try to get his friend out of jail.
