Muhammad Amin bin Haji Ihsan or better known as M. Amin(1 September 1924 – 8 January 2003) is a Malaysian actor, director and writer. He was known for his socio -political observations on the Malays which inspired him into his films. His career began in 1950's when he migrated to Singapore to apply for a position as a sailor. However, things took a change as he was called to acted under the direction of an Indian at Malay Film Productions. Since he was good at reading, he has served at Malay Film company as a teacher to teach the Malay actors to write and read.
