Abhilasha is an Indian actress from Karnataka who made her career in the South Indian film industry, particularly in Malayalam cinema in the late 1980s. Known for her erotic roles, Abhilasha was a major figure in Malayalam softcore films of her era. She starred in nearly 40 softcore Malayalam films and is considered one of the pioneers of the genre in that language. She rose to fame with *Adipapam* (1988), considered the first successful Malayalam film to feature softcore nudity. In addition to Malayalam, Abhilasha also starred in about 80 films in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi.
