Chris Martinez is a Mexican-American writer and director from Austin, Texas, who is currently based in New York City. He has directed numerous short films, both digitally and on film, and recently co-wrote/co-directed a microbudget feature titled, Aitana Needs a Gun (2024). His short screenplay, Hombre, placed as a Second-Rounder in the 2024 Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition and as a Semi-Finalist at the 2024 Cinequest Screenwriting Competition. He also worked as a script development intern for Running Man Productions and recently graduated with his B.F.A. from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
